Issues and challenges:
• Revive an urban complex on the scale of a disctrict losing attractiveness.
• Bring back its inhabitants close to the sea to restore their connection with water, housing or leisure-wise.
• Restore a priviledged site and, therefore reassess the touristic potential of the historic center.
The main goal of the project is to value an abandoned and distorted urban fabric, by giving it back the undeniable poetic potential due to the symbol of the Mediterranean Sea which led to the Medina back in the days.
The project interacts with this medinal fabric but it's also the continuity of the futur sailing port, of the leisure facilities plan and of the harbor station, that allows to articulate the project with the city but also to restore access to the coast that was abandoned.
